Project JOY can always use cash donations. A large part of preparing for our trip to Harlan involves purchasing the commodities for the Food Boxes and Learning Bags. Money that is given is used solely for purchasing goods. All administrative services are donated by members of Priest Lake Presbyterian and all travel and other expenses related to our trip to Harlan are raised by youth initiated fund raising events. This means that you can be sure your dollar is going to the people in need in Harlan County.
We also ensure that every dollar is spent wisely. During the year our purchasing representatives scour Department and Supermarket flyers to look for specials or when out shopping look for in-store specials. On finding a great buy and e-mail is sent out and savvy shoppers visit all relevant stores in the area and strip the shelves of the products.
Project JOY is a Mission Project of Priest Lake Presbyterian Church, 2787 Smith Springs Rd., Nashville, TN which is a Non-Profit 501-(c) 3 organization with the IRS, making all your donations tax deductible.
